FAQs
How should I study for the USMLE exams?
Great question. Most medical students, particularly IMGs, are very worried about their performance on the USMLE Exams (Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3) because of how these exams impact their ability to match into residency. The exams have changed somewhat since I took them, my best recommendation is to make friends with someone who took the exam the year before you are planning to take the exam as they will have the most up-to-date information. If you are still looking for additional information, I have made many videos on the topic of my USMLE experience.
Can you review my Personal Statement/ERAS application?
Unfortunately, due to the time constraints of residency, I am unable to review individual application materials at this time. I have made the following YouTube videos on the topic of residency applications, including my own application statistics. These may be helpful, but ultimately each application should be personal to the individual who put it together.
How did you match at Boston Children’s Hospital for residency?
To be honest, I don’t know. I know that I put together an application that was uniquely my own, but as I currently do not sit on any application review committees I do not know what aspects of an application make it outstanding.
